What is honeycomb?

Honeycomb materials are lightweight and rigid composite structures used as cores to reinforce and lighten composite panels, providing high strength and low density. This honeycomb structure is commonly integrated into sandwich materials to achieve weight reduction and strong mechanical properties in finished parts.

Distribution of Honeycomb

Several raw materials can be used to produce honeycomb structures: polypropylene, aluminum, fiberglass, and Nomex. MCtechnics can supply each of these materials. Honeycomb structures can undergo post-processing treatments such as perforation or with a finishing layer (glass or aluminum).
