MCtechnics offers RTV-2 silicone elastomers, which are two-component compositions that can be poured, spread, or kneaded and vulcanize at room temperature (RTV = Room Temperature Vulcanization) when a curing agent is added.
Two vulcanization methods are available: condensation vulcanization, which uses a tin-based catalyst and produces alcohol as a by-product, and addition vulcanization, which uses a platinum catalyst and generates no by-products.
Their extensive range allows for the production of elastomers with highly specialized properties for various industrial fields, such as mold-making, electronics, home appliances, mechanical engineering, healthcare applications, and solar energy. General properties of silicone rubber include ease of processing, long-term elasticity, excellent release properties, accurate reproduction of surface details, heat resistance (up to 200°C continuously and 350°C short-term), and safe handling.
