Flexible core material

Next to all rigid core material, one can also use flexible core materials that will be impregnated with resin to fill cavity while still optimizing density of the finished part.

The main advantaged of flexible cores are:

• Weight saving
• Resin and glass saving
• Stiffness increase
• Fast thickness build-up
• Excellent surface finish

The flexible core used will depend on the manufacturing process used:

• Lamination process → Coremat®
• Close mold (infusion) → Soric®
